What we do

When overwhelmed with stress, cells can enter a zombie-like state called senescence. This clutters up the brain and prevents healthy cells from working properly. The build-up of these cells in the brain has been linked to several diseases.

By studying their unique molecular fingerprints, we can model disease-specific cellular senescence computationally and in the lab to identify potent compounds that can ease the burden of these cells in neurological and neuropsychiatric disease.
